Haha confesses that he is perpetually obsessed with Yoo Jae Suk

On April 18th, SBS E! K-Star News (MC Son Ho Young, Yoo Yeong Ji) ran their “Surprising Star Report” corner, which reports on everything about K-Stars.

“Surprising Star Report” is a corner that summarizes news about stars and they ran a program called “Star Talk Talk Talk” where they report on shocking remarks made by star that have become the talk of town. They look over and see what comments made by stars have become the talk of town.

In 2nd place on “Star Talk Talk Talk” was the infinite sufferer of “Yoo Jae Suk Obsession” Haha, who made the comment “I want to have Yoo Jae Suk!”

Yoo Jae Suk has to buy IU a car?

The nation’s MC has recently been put under a sticky situation where he may have to buy IU a brand new car as a late birthday present.

The May 27th episode of SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘ consisted of IU and Park Ji Sung as guests for a “super-power” soccer competition and a race in Incheon.

After successfully completing a soccer match, the cast members headed for breakfast at a sushi restaurant. As they waited for their order to arrive, HaHa jokingly recommended Yoo Jae Suk buy IU a car saying, “It was IU’s birthday not too long ago and I heard she’ll be getting her driver’s license soon. Hyung (Yoo Jae Suk), I think it’ll be perfect if you bought her a car.”

Flustered, Yoo Jae Suk replied, “Alright, let’s buy her a car then! Let’s each pitch in 10 million won (approximately $8,440.24 USD)!” However, IU later surprised the MC by saying, “Oppa, I’ll enjoy my new car.”

When asked what present the Manchester United midfielder would be giving, Park Ji Sung answered, “I’ll buy her a seat cover for the new car,” causing everyone to laugh out loud. Big nosed hyung Ji Suk Jin also added, “If Jae Suk buys you a car, I’ll tint the car for you.”

Netizens left comments such as, “Our IU needs a car“, “Poor Yoo Jae Suk“, “I want to ride in the car IU drives“, and “It was hilarious seeing Yoo Jae Suk being taken aback.”

The ‘Infinity Challenge’ Battle it Out With Each Other

With the new time change for SBS’ Running Man, the competition between the weekend variety shows became fierce, even more so because it was a battle between the Infinity Challenge members.

The first round between SBS’ Running Man and MBC’s I Am a Singer 2 took place on May 29. While the shows had nothing to do with Infinity Challenge, due to Yoo Jae Suk and Haha’s appearances in Running Man and Park Myung Soo and Noh Hong Chul as the new MCs on I Am a Singer 2, it was unavoidably a fight in the Infinity Challengehousehold.

The winners of the first round turned out to be Yoo Jae Suk and Haha. According to AGB Nielson Media Research, on May 6, Running Man recorded a rating of 14.5 percent nationwide, while I Am a Singer 2 recorded 9.9 percent, airing at the same time.

But nothing is set in stone yet. Compared to the rating of the first broadcast for I Am a Singer 2 on May 29, the show recorded a 1.7 percent increase from the initial 8.2 percent, foreshadowing a constant rise.

Meanwhile, the other competition, KBS’ Happy Sunday – One Night Two Days recorded a low percentage of 7.4. Due to the on-going KBS labor strike, the show broadcasted a rerun.
